About Branding Iron Ranch
The Branding Iron Ranch is a large traditional western cattle ranch that is priced at a value and makes sense from an income perspective. The ranch has 26,500 deeded acres with another 140,000 acres of leased grazing land. The total ranch consists of 166,500 acres of contiguous ground and is capable of running 3,500 head of cattle. The summer range reaches an elevation of 5,700 feet with the winter pastures at 2,800 feet. Primary water rights on the ranch consist of 3,499 acres plus another 2,282 acres of supplemental water rights. The 2,400 acres of hay ground and lush grass meadows are irrigated with eight new center pivots along with a few wheel lines and flood irrigation. Improvements consist of homes, shops, hay storage, calving barns and feedlots, everything needed to operate a ranch of this magnitude. The operation has been upgraded and put together in order to make it as proficient and uncomplicated as possible.
Cattle are king here although the wildlife is spectacular with a big herd of mule deer, antelope and a small herd of resident elk that summer and winter on the ranch. The ranch is elgible for 7 land owner preference tags each for deer, antelope and elk. This is classic mule deer country and it shows as you travel the ranch. There is over 20 miles of year round creeks and streams with two large reservoirs on the ranch. Other wildlife consists of chuckar, sage hen, pheasant, quail and waterfowl.
