About Rim Rock Ranch

The Rim Rock Ranch is a 560 +/- acre working horse ranch in the beautiful Crooked River valley of central Oregon. Located north of Bend , the ranch has wonderful views of the Cascade Range looming to the west and a majestic basalt rim rock lining the north edge of the property. The ranch improvements include a wonderfully restored 5,400 +/- sq.ft. home, once the childhood home of the former Governor of Oregon, Tom McCall. The ranch features a state of the art equine facility with a 100 x 300 foot indoor riding arena, mare barn, show barn, offices and a lab. This is complimented with 475 +/- acres of water rights, producing lush alfalfa fields and all meticulously maintained.

This ranch was the subject of the book "Ranch Under the Rim Rock", written by Dorothy McCall, which details the rich history of the ranch and the area. This area is rich in western ranch history.
