About Polvi Farms in Oregon


Located in Polk and Yamhill County, Oregon, Polvi Farms is approximately 690 acres of farmland, including 407 acres of irrigated tillable farm ground, four residential dwellings and multiple farm buildings. The primary crops are row crops, grass seed, apple trees and cherries.

The south portion of the property is located to the northwest of Salem, on Highway 221, with two miles of Willamette River frontage. Polk County is located in the heart of Oregon’s agriculturally rich Willamette Valley. With the Cascade Mountains to the east and the Coast Range to the west, the Willamette Valley is sheltered from extreme temperatures and enjoys a generally mild climate. Winter days are characterized by light to moderate rains, with only small amounts of snow observed at the lower altitudes. Summertime brings a combination of sunny, warm days and cool nights with a 180 day growing season.

The northern portion of the property is located in Yamhill County, approximately four miles south of Dayton Oregon. Yamhill County is located in the northwest Willamette Valley. The County is bounded by the Willamette River on the east and the Coast Range on the west. The county forms the western point of a triangle with Portland 45 minutes to the northeast, and Salem 30 minutes to the southeast.


Polvi Farms consists of 690 acres with 407 acres irrigated and fertile river bottom ground, which provide a long growing season and provide an ideal environment for growing a wide range of crops. The property currently has 100+/- acres of apple orchard with varieties include Braeburn, Jonagold, Gala, and Granny Smith. There are also 23+/- acres of Royal Ann cherries. The apple orchards have hard set micro sprinklers with low risers under trees. A majority of the irrigated ground is tiled.


The farm has abundant senior water rights from the Willamette River. Copies of the Water Rights Certificates are available upon request. The dwellings are served by domestic wells.


Improvements on Polvi Farms include four homes, several warehouses, office buildings, a repair shop, horse barn, feeder barn, granary, and a building site.
