Prescott
A highly desirable and historically rich community located in the mountains of north central Arizona at an elevation of 5,400 feet and only 89 miles northwest of Phoenix, Prescott is dubbed "Everyone’s Hometown" and is the Yavapai County Seat. Prescott and the nearby towns of Chino Valley and Prescott Valley form what is known locally as the Tri-Cities - providing the best in medical facilities and services, shopping, dining, schools, universities, golf courses and resorts. The Courthouse Plaza, located in the center of downtown Prescott, is the quintessential mid-western downtown square framed by towering elm trees and is the focal point for a myriad of annual activities including craft fairs, antique/art shows, parades, and more.
Prescott’s population is approximately 45,000 and mild temperatures range from 50-90 degrees with annual participation of approximately 19 inches allowing for perfect year-round outdoor recreation and entertainment for any type of lifestyle. Five area lakes within 10 miles of downtown Prescott provide boating, fishing and other water activities. An old settlement, first established in 1867 as a mining town and rich in the western history and small town charm, Skull Valley is located in one of Arizona’s most prestigious areas well-known today for fine horse properties with cattle ranching as the main occupation today. Often referred to by locals as one of Arizona’s “best kept secrets” with true small-town charm that’s harder to find today, Skull Valley’s town amenities consist of a post office, historic train depot museum, service station, church, school house, convenience store, volunteer fire department, and a private air strip used primarily by ranchers with light planes.
